Ashness Jetty #1

I took this photograph at the end of November last year on the final day of a short photography trip to the Lakes with some friends.

There was a lovely bit of colour in the sky, a couple of clouds and a dusting on snow on the peaks behind Keswick making for a lovely evening and a nice way to end a good trip.

I've shot this pier a few times now and wanted to try something a bit different so extended my tripod as far as it would go (over 2m) and arranged it one leg on the pier and two legs off. This was the resulting composition.
