I have just returned from a 5 day trip to Suffolk where we had the joy of seeing the sun and getting some warm weather... neither have been around much this summer in Scotland!
The week prior to going away was spent cramming in as much research and planning as I could. I find local photographers, Flickr, 500px, etc provide good ideas and inspiration when visiting a new area and together with sunrise/sunset and tidal times I felt I was fairly well prepared. This all meant I didn't get around to posting any photographs before we left.
It's fair to say it was a busy trip with a couple of 4am rises, a few more at 6am, photography through the day (when possibly) and then a couple of sunsets as well. However, given the distance to get there I felt I had to make the most of my time even if I wasn't shooting in the best light as it's not somewhere practical to visit for a day!
The majority of my time was in Suffolk shooting at Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Covehithe, Dunwich Heath, Sizewell and Old Felixstowe but we also spent a day in Norfolk (including a visit to Wex!) and visited Huntstanton and Holkham finishing up at Caister-on-Sea.
Having spent the best part of the morning uploading photographs (and there are quite a few!) to Lightroom I am reasonably happy with the results and will now spend time processing them which could take a while.
