The Melt Water

On Sunday morning I unexpectedly found myself in Glencoe so I took the opportunity to get more practice with my tilt and shift lens which I recently added to my camera bag.

It is a manual lens and not one that you can just pick up and expect to get the best results from on the first shot. But having now spent some time shooting with it, it is beginning to feel more familiar to use and I am find the controls more natural to use.

The shot below comprises of two shots (shift feature) stitched together. It’s not perfect but it’s coming along and I feel I am making progress in the right direction.

I have a couple of trips next month where I plan to use the lens so I am planning a couple of local outings with the sole focus of shooting with the lens, the results are unimportant, it’s about getting more practice with the lens.
