As a lover of air travel I always enjoy reading Tyler Thomspon's article where he undertakes to redesign Delta's boarding pass.
Through the process of identifying the elements that are of greatest importance he re-designs the pass to be of most use to both passenger and airport / airline staff.
Looking at key elements including gate, seat number, destination, departure time he also explored the use of colour to provide branding and to highlight key data.
The stub, which is often kept by the gate staff is equally given the same level of attention to enable the re-design to incorporate great visibility for key components.
In addition he shared designs produced by others who had read his article including Timoni West who also posted a substantial article exploring the practicalities and priorities in detail.
