Butt of Lewis Lighthouse

The Butt of Lewis Lighthouse was built in the 1860s to aid shipping. It is unusual for a lighthouse in Scotland as it is constructed of red brick and is unpainted.

We visited the Isle of Lewis in the summer of 2010 and while there were many clouds there was very little rain. We were lucky.

Photography is my passion. I love being outside, camera set up, waiting on the first light of the day.
