Island on na h-Achlaise

One of many islands on Lochan na h-Achlaise in the morning sun with snow capped peaks in the distance.

Starting at Loch Lomond, just past Tarbet, I had hoped to photograph the old railway pier but the sun was too strong (even at 5.30am!) and I ended up past Bridge of Orchy on my way to Glencoe. That said, it was worth the effort as I think the light worked nicely at Lochan na h-Achlaise.

It wasn't a trip where I got many photographs but it was a gorgeous sunny morning to be outside admiring Scotland's beautiful landscape. As with all my jaunts it served as a good reccie for future outings.
