The Day Stirring Slowly
I was in the Cairngorms towards the end of October and ventured out for sunrise one morning hoping to get some nice light on the autumn colours.
What I was faced with was dense low lying mist that provided me with an opportunity to photograph some familiar locations under different conditions.
Sunrise came and went and as I was returning home I passed by Loch Pityoulish where I noticed the mist was still to rise.
I set myself up and a little later I was rewarded with this shot. Whilst it wasn't the full autumn colours I was looking for I like the light on the reeds and the atmosphere coming from the mist and the darker sky.
