Under the Surface

The start of a new year and an opportunity to get out over the festive period with the camera. Well I would have done, had it not been for the persistent rain that we have been experiencing.

On the one sunny day I ventured to a local loch for a walk, camera in hand just in case. It is a location I have visited before so I knew that shots I have historically taken at this location would not work on this trip.

However, I have found it to be a place to try something different, making use of the features on the waters edge. Some ideas work well, and some don’t quite appear as I had visualised them in my head.

It was not until the end of the walk that I spotted little pockets of air under the frozen surface. There were only a few, but enough to provide me with an opportunity to put the camera to use.
