Lidya Hope Foundation
I have talked a lot about how photography offers me an escapism from my day job, one which is extremely numeric, precise, and constantly moving and changing.
However, it also offers me the opportunity to raise money for organisations doing amazing work to help those less fortunate and over the last couple years I have sold prints in support of food banks, those in poverty, and homelessness.
I am supporting the Lidya Hope Foundation, an organisation co-founded by a friend and colleague, who offer a safe and supportive environment for orphaned children in Tanzania.
The Foundation has capacity for up to 50 children and provides them them with a home, daily meals, an education they would otherwise go without, and most importantly the opportunity of a better future.
In addition, they also provide meals and an education to other children who live in local villages so that they too can benefit from the facilities and resources available at the Foundation, extending their reach into the community.
During my 2025 Christmas Charity Print fundraiser I raised over £11,000 and the money donated to the Foundation has enabled them to…
Complete the construction of their pre-school,
Fully equip the pre-school classrooms with all the furniture needed and
Lay the foundations for the primary classrooms which they are now fundraising for, saving them over £2,000 in Government fees next year.
Every penny raised goes such a long way to meeting their goals of helping to provide the children at the orphanage with a future.
Instead of just raising money at Christmas I want to support their work throughout the year.
I am now offering Charity Prints all year and not just at Christmas as a way of allowing others to support them whilst getting something back in return. I am also donating money from all other print sales, books, and from talks I give to companies, clubs and organisations to the Foundation.
And to ensure as much money as possible is donated I will continue to cover all printing costs.
Charity Prints
A choice of 12 prints as open editions which includes the original print, Walking Wenceslas, offered in 2022.
These prints are only £20 each (get 3 for 2) and are priced to be accessible and affordable to all with every penny donated to the Foundation.
Limited Edition Prints
If you would prefer one of my Limited Edition prints, I am donating 100% of the profit from all other print sales to support the work Lidya and Maddalena are doing to help the children.
Whilst still A4, the image size is bigger on these prints.
