Talks & Presentations

Over recent years I have had the pleasure of giving talks about my photography to camera clubs and organisations around the UK, both in person and online.

Details are below of the talks I am currently offering, but if there is a specific area or topic you would like me to speak about please get in touch using the form below.

Current Talks

Not Just a Single Photograph

Working in an industry and role which is extremely numeric, precise, and constantly moving and changing, photography and art offers me freedom, flexibility and the opportunity to experiment and evolve my practice.

As my work, interests and approach have changed, I find myself focussing more on curating bodies of work, moving away from producing one-off work.

I explore and discuss the journey I have gone through, sharing work from the past decade with a focus on recent and on-going work.

Available from Summer 2026…

The Photobook

The ideal way to view a body of work, as the artist intended.

I have a particular interest in books and find the process of photographing, processing, printing and producing books of my own work seductive but the output rewarding and enriching.

During this talk I will discuss my interest and passion in photobooks. I will share my approach to making a photobook, factors and options I consider at each stage of the process, from dreaming up an idea and concept, to planning it, through to delivering the reality.

I will also talk about Biblioscapes, my digital photobook library and podcast, how this side project started and the journey it has taken me on.
