A Mouthful
During our time in Shanghai we spent some time walking the streets of the Old Town which is under threat from developers who wish to demolish and rebuild the area with new modern skyscrapers as dominates much of the skyline.
Within the old town there are many restaurants catering to the locals and it's a fairly standard affair (from what we saw) - a bowl of rice, a plate of fresh vegetables and a bowl of broth.
The food smells delicious and looks fresh although not necessarily my first choice of dining experience. We did however stop and buy some breads freshly made which were very good.
