A Lakeside Awakening

Yet another early start on Sunday as I ventured down to Derwentwater in the Lake District with friends in time for sunrise.

I stood from an elevated position watching the lake come to life as the mist rose from the waters edge above the tree line and over the hills.

We were rewarded with beautiful conditions, a layer of mist on top of the water and gorgeous light hitting the snow capped Catbells.

Photography is my passion. I love being outside, camera set up, waiting on the first light of the day.
