Pier View

It was an early rise this morning to take advantage of the dry weather forecast on the East coast.

I ventured to St Monan's in the East Neuk of Fife with the aim of photographing the zigzag pier that extends out into the North Sea and serves as a breakwater.

It wasn't the spectacular colourful sunrise that one might hope for but the light was nice and soft, there were some clouds in the sky and the incoming tide provided interest as the water crashed against the pier.

Photography is my passion. I love being outside, camera set up, waiting on the first light of the day.
