Tarn Reflections on a Winters Day

This photograph was taken at Blea Tarn in the Lake District during a short photography trip to the area with friends at the end of November.

It's a beautiful location with the Langdale Pikes in the distance, a thin sparse covering of snow, and a thin covering of ice over the top of the tarn. There are a number of different compositions available along the waters edge using the variety of rocks for foreground interest.

Unfortunately the light didn't appear as I had hoped for but it was a location and composition that I liked, and somewhere that I would happily return to.
