Lifting Mist

I have been quiet on the blogging front for a few months and over the summer did little photography other than a bit of a recce in the South West of England whilst there on holiday. Now that the landscape season is upon us I’m busy planning some locations I would like to photograph over the coming months.

I have not spent as much time photographing woodlands as I have the coast so it was an enjoyable morning at Glentrool for a bit of a recce with Dylan Nardini, check out some of his sublime woodland shots, back in early September.

The forecast was looking promising but we had to wait as pockets of mist worked their way up the loch before settling around a group of trees. This provided an opportunity to shoot some shots with the trees peaking through the morning mist which I find easier and more natural to capture than being down in and among the trees.

All shots taken with a Nikon D800 and as 70-200mm F4 lens.
