Looking Ahead

It is the start of a new year and as we take stock of the past twelve months and what we accomplished, we look forward to the year ahead and set ourselves goals, ambitions, or dare I say it, resolutions.

This year I am refraining from any resolutions having said for several years that I would produce and share more work, both on my website and in physical form, and not being remotely successful, in my opinion at least.

On the whole, whilst I shared more work online in 2024, I didn’t share anything in the printed form and there were reasons for this, time being the main constraint due to the day job.

I genuinely want to change this, I want to bring some ideas to fruition, sharing them in a phyiscal way, and I have plans to do so this year in a variety of formats.

The time constraint, and weather, were significant factors which severely limited any new photography this year. Being outside with the camera is what I love and it is something I have missed. It is hard to motivate yourself when you look at the forecast or out of the window and all you can see if rain with no light. However, if I am not out there I certainly won’t get any new work.

The newsletter is another area I have not delivered in recent years but the target is very simple, to send one a month, on the first of the month. It will focus on new work and other plans… you will find out in a month how it is going!
