Bambooed in Jardin Majorelle
We recently spend five days in Marrakech and took time to visit Jardin Majorelle, a 12 acre garden designed in the 1920s and located in the centre of Marrakech. Since 1980 the garden has been owned by Yves Saint Laurent and upon his death in 2008 had his ashes scattered there.
Within the garden there is a large collection of bamboo, much of which lines the path that takes visitors around the garden. The majority of such bamboo has been inscribed by visitors from across the world with messages, many of them expressing their love of someone else.
