My Weekly Phone Image

I like to take my time when it comes to photography.

From framing a shot to sharing it with the outside world, I do not feel any urgency to rush the process - quite the opposite, I work in deliberate ways taking time, often measured in months or years, before work emerges for sharing.

With that said, in recent years I have been keen to find a format which would enable me to share work on a regular basis and at the start of 2025 I challenged myself to make and share a photograph every week using only my phone.

I felt the creative restrictions would encourage me find inspiration everywhere and photograph new subjects, which would be both interesting and beneficial to my work and practice. I believe this could be a positive approach to demonstrating what can be achieved solely using a phone.

Importantly, it felt like a realistic goal.

After fifty-two weeks I have fifty-two photographs which I have collated into a new book which represents my creative challenge achieved.

Limited copies of the book are available to buy here with all profits donated to charity.

Photography is my passion. I love being outside, camera set up, waiting on the first light of the day.
